Johnny started working with Bruce in 2010 when he was 8 years old.  He took privates, attended clinics and now helps Bruce coach the newest players.  At 17 and a high school senior, Johnny is again out of youth hockey but has had an amazing experience as a player because of the fundamentals he gained working regularly with BUDS.  As parents we always felt Bruce was patient, thorough and most importantly kept the kids excited to be on the ice and play hockey.  We are thankful for Bruce's early contribution to our family as we have enjoyed many years as part of the hockey family.  It was a truly life changing experience for him as a player and us as fans!  Go BUDS!

Bruce Fowler is a true coach.  My son was off the ice due to illness/injury plus the Covid environment for two years prior to starting again with Buds4Hockey approximately six months ago at age eight.  The wonderful coaches at Buds4Hockey encouraged him, recognized that he was only eight years old, and not only retrained him but encouraged him where else to skate for additional ice time.  As a result, my son was able to tryout midseason with a travel team and make it!  It has meant physical health and personal growth for him to be part of Buds4Hockey.  Bruce Fowler is a selfless professional who cares about children and makes a difference in their lives.  Thank you Bruce!

Bruce and the Buds4Hockey staff provides a great learning and practice environment for youth skaters. We like the flexibly Bruce provides to attend clinics at Palisades or Fritz depending on our family’s schedule any given week. My sons have been attending Buds 4 Hockey for the last couple of years,  and their edgework and skating abilities have improved tremendously. This is all in part to Bruce and their fantastic team. The small group sessions allow the instructors to focus on the children and have them correct their mistakes.
